The description of services, prices, tourist taxes, supplements, booking conditions, payment conditions, cancellation and modification conditions and no-show conditions are indicated when booking online or in the booking proposal by email.

Liability and force majeure
Liability
Hotel L'Echappée Belle undertakes to provide the services booked in accordance with these General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
The hotel may not be held liable in the event of non-performance or poor performance of the contract resulting from :
- the fault of the client,
- the act of a third party unrelated to the service,
- or a case of force majeure as defined by French case law.
The hotel may not be held responsible for indirect damage, operating losses, loss of opportunity or immaterial damage suffered by the customer
Clients' property and personal effects
The hotel declines all liability in the event of loss, theft or damage to personal belongings belonging to guests, particularly in rooms, common areas, car parks or outdoor areas, unless otherwise provided by law.
It is the guest's responsibility to take all necessary precautions for the preservation of their belongings.
Use of facilities
Use of the hotel's rooms, equipment and facilities is the sole responsibility of the guest.
Any behaviour that contravenes the rules of safety or propriety or that is detrimental to the smooth running of the establishment may result in the interruption of the stay without compensation.
Force majeure
Force majeure is defined as any unforeseeable, irresistible event outside the control of the parties, as recognised by French case law, which makes it impossible to fulfil all or part of the obligations set out in the contract.
In particular, the following are considered to be cases of force majeure, without this list being exhaustive
- natural disasters (storms, floods, fires),
- epidemics, pandemics or administrative closures,
- total or partial strikes affecting transport or essential suppliers,
- major power, water or network cuts,
- any event beyond the hotel's control making it impossible to accommodate the customer.
In the event of a force majeure event, L'Echappée Belle reserves the right to cancel the reservation without incurring any liability.
Applicable law and competent jurisdiction
These General Conditions are governed by French law.
In the event of a dispute, the consumer customer may refer the matter either to one of the courts with territorial jurisdiction under the Code of Civil Procedure, or to the court for the place where he or she was living when the contract was concluded or when the harmful event occurred.
In accordance with the provisions of the Consumer Code, the customer is informed that he/she may have recourse free of charge to a consumer mediator with a view to the amicable resolution of the dispute.
